What are Indian almond leaves?
In aquarium use, Indian almond leaves refer to the dried leaves of the Terminalia catappa tree – a tree that is native to Southeast Asia and has been used in traditional medicine there for centuries.Once dried, they are ready to be used in aquariums.
Note
Leaves will normally float for 2-3 days before sinking. The leaves should be replaced 2-4 weeks or when leaves start to breakup. Dosages are a guide only and Aquarists can tailor it based on aesthetics and water coloration. The leaves will cause water to turn clean amber in color due to tannins which is natural and healthy
for fishes.
