Catappa Bark is the bark of the tree that produces the Indian Almond Leaves. It’s pretty hard to find in the US and it’s pretty expensive to get from overseas. These pieces were imported from Singapore. They’re all natural and no preparation is required. Simply drop in your tank and done!
Like the Indian Almond Leaves, Catappa bark will leech beneficial tannins into your aquarium water. These tannins promote well being for your fish and other inhabitants. They are rumored to also aid in warding off and treating fungal and bacterial infections. They also help to give your aquarium a much more natural look, closer to what your fish would live in in the wild.
The bark will turn your water a tea color (which is what it’s supposed to do) just like the leaves. Pieces will last a very long time.
Each bag has 5 tube shaped pieces and 5 random shaped pieces. Your bag may not look like the ones pictured as they are picked and bagged randomly. Rest assured there are 10 pieces in every bag!
